How to Modify the Predecessor and Successor

Step 1: Create / Load a schedule into Fuzor in 4D simulation*

There are different methods to modify predecessor and successor.

Method 1: Create the relationships between tasks in the Gantt Chart

Step 1: Move the mouse to the edge of the rectangle in the gantt chart. The mouse cursor will change its shape


Step 2: Press the left button of the mouse and drag it, an arrow will be shown



Method 2: Create and modify relationships between tasks in Task Details
Step 1: Click “Task Details”


Step 2: Click a task


Step 3: Enter the task id of the predecessor


Step 4: Click “+”


The predecessor will be added.


Step 5: Enter the task id of the successor


Step 6: Click “+”


The successor will be added.



To remove the predecessor / successor

Step 1: Click the “-” next to the predecessor / successor



Method 3: Create and modify relationships between tasks in the Schedule
Step 1: Click “Edit Column”


Step 2: Check the box “Predecessor” under Visibility of the Custom Columns box and the column Predecessor will be shown


Step 3: Double click the cell under Predecessor and enter the ID of the predecessor for the selected task.


The arrow showing the relationship between the predecessor and successor is added.


To remove the predecessor / successor
Step 1: Double click the cell with the ID number


Step 2: Delete the ID number. The relationship has been removed.



Remarks:

Head to Head:
The task pointed by the arrowhead will not start earlier than the task at the arrow tail


Tail to Tail:
The task pointed by the arrowhead will not end before the task at the arrow tail ends


Tail to Head:
The task pointed by the arrowhead will not start before the task at the arrow tail ends


Head to Tail:
The task pointed by the arrowhead will not end before the task at the arrow tail starts
