The difference between the Xbox controller scheme and the gamepad controller scheme is that Xbox is set up for use with controllers from major video game consoles. The gamepad is meant for more generic models.

When using an Xbox controller or some similar console controller, plug in the controller, navigate to the controls menu, and choose Xbox under "Controller Type". For a generic controller, plug in your gamepad, navigate to to the controls menu, and choose Gamepad under "Controller Type".

We also have support for the 3D mouse.

Controls for the Xbox controller and the gamepad a very similar. Both can work in avatar mode and free-camera mode. Use the left analog stick to move the avatar or camera forward, back, left, or right. Use the right analog stick to angle the camera up, down, left, or right. Use the left bumper in avatar mode to make the character run. Press the Y Button, or the button the top of the face buttons to open doors while in avatar mode.
